Oppose Senate Bill 1
Senate Bill 518 has been folded into SB 1 by amendment. The House Ways and Means committee meets Monday April 7 at 10:30 to vote - there will be NO PUBLIC TESTIMONY on this amendment. Its passage will have devastating consequences to our school district. Senate Bill 518: School Property Taxes

This bill proposes changes to school property tax policies, including tax rate adjustments and potential redistribution of funds between districts. If enacted, our district would experience funding cuts leading to reduced programs and resources, with a projected 49% reduction in operations property tax funding beginning in 2028.
